Through the generous facilities donation of Robert B. Betts, Jr., CPF's camps have been hosted at the beautiful Absaroka Guest Ranch in the Dunoir Valley northwest of Dubois, Wyoming. On the slopes of the breathtaking Absaroka Mountains, this ranch is located at 8,000 feet and surrounded by National Forest and Wilderness. Summer weather is warm and evenings are cool. Rain gear is available in case of a mountain shower. The ranch has miles and miles of trails, secluded lakes and streams, forests, wildlife and wildflowers, crisp mountain air, unspoiled scenery, and quiet relaxation. Vets and their families have opportunities to horseback ride, hike, fish, take pictures and just relax. CPF staff provides guided horseback rides and fly fishing excursions. Meals are served family-style in the main lodge—hearty, fresh Western cuisine. The chef's will even cook your catch of the day! A qualified staff of CPF volunteers provide ranch hospitality and services. Accommodations, meals and activities at CPF Warrior Week are provided through the generosity of CPF donations and are free of charge to qualified applicants. If an applicant needs financial assistance for transportation to and from the Warrior Ranch Week, assistance is available.
